Why not just have a better party search window, which doesn't require you to be in a town to see if there are partys forming there.
Just make it as following (expandable tabs)

PvP-> HA, TA, AB
PvE->Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, EotN-> list of outposts
Trading-> axes, staves, runes, services minipets, other etc.

And just make it so that you can trade a person w/o having to be near them.

Pros: I could just go farming somewhere, or for a round of RA or something, then, when I see a party forming in the mission I need to complete, I zone there and join.

And thus it becomes easier to form parties, especially since people don't have to sit with their thumbs up their ... waiting for a party to form.

And people could just post their WTS or WTB items w/o...again the thumb.

Oh and offcourse: more text, especially for the trading.

oh yes, this should be implimented.
thinking for gate openers in pre, as you haft to trade whilst standing next to them rarther than standing at the gate.
and in post more room for details of what you are selling insted of having to put your location in; my guildie and i consider in front of storage (old location)the standard place to trade, other people dont.

it is annoying when you have typed a long string of items, and all that appears in the trade box a short cut off version, if they dont add longer descriptions, the full version should appear if you hold the pointer over the description.

I have a very efficient party search mechanism called Guild and Alliance chat.

It also seems only very capable players join...

A simple filter box would do. For example, type axe and only trades with the word axe will show. wtb to sort out the wts's etc.

Guess there should be no improvements if there already is something rather unrelated which can not only coexist with the new system, but also do a much weaker job than the new system.
